ABOUT US

Kalamondi was created with one purpose: to keep Colombian ancestral artisanal techniques alive and reinvigorate them with elevated designs and a unique, contemporary feel. We are proud of our heritage and believe our artisan partners are among the most talented artists in the world. Kalamondi is our love letter to them, to their techniques and to the joy of sharing our co-creations with the world.

Kalamondi has a strong creative and business relationship with our artisan partners. Our products support fair wages, safe working environments and represent support of Colombian artisan entrepreneurs.

Ana is a renowned Colombian Interior Designer. She formerly worked in the National Heritage Office of the Colombian government and had a hand in re-designing numerous high-profile projects, including the vice presidential palace. A lover of antiques, art and travel, Ana’s first stop when visiting a new location is always the local flea market. Kalamondi represents the culmination of her life’s work: design and artisanal heritage.

Camila originally studied Marketing and Business in Washington, DC before switching gears and focusing on Interior Design in Milan. Prior to co-founding Kalamondi, she was a Creative Director for a fashion brand. A lifelong lover of crafts, art and all things handmade, Camila has fostered deep personal relationships with our artisan partners and is passionate about the intrinsic value of one-off pieces and what they represent.
